The Ralls Volunteer Fire department have gone through great lengths to refurbish their department with updated equipment, trucks, and Decon unit.  With the help of SPAG, Ralls has been granted several pieces of equipment that not only help out the South Plains Region but also aided Katrina Victims.

The Ralls force is active in recruiting and training young men and women into their organization. The team actively works with the City of Crosbyton and Lorenzo Fire departments assisting Crosby County fires.

The Fire department works with many fundraisers not only to raise money to assist with purchasing equipment but also to lend aid to the community.  Recently smoke and carbon dioxide detectors were donated to citizens of Ralls who asked for them.  The department host Bar B Q's, Dances and are famous for their Pan cake breakfast.

The Red Decon Trailer was recently used to aid Hurricane Katrina Victims.  In 2006 Triumph Seed donated a pickup to pull the trailer so that it could be used throughout the region and state. In 2005 Ralls received funding to purchase a new pumper fire engine.  In 2007 The Texas Forestry Service issued funds to purchase a new tanker truck.
