Downtown Ralls

The downtown business district was built by John R. Ralls in 1913.  The merchants typically open their doors from 9:00 to 5:00.  Paul's Barbershop is unique with it's old time original fixtures.  You can still get a hair cut under $10.00.  Sandra's, The Name Dropper, and Monica's offer a unique supply of ladies clothing, and gifts.  Ralls gift registry, a small town tradition is available for graduation, baby and wedding showers.

Ralls is a very busy little city.

Businesses are expanding out onto the highway such as Town and Country convenient store, Ag Texas, George’s Restaurant, and the Dollar General.  Ralls has recently restored the downtown with vintage park lights and benches.  RISD has recently built on new classrooms, football concession stand, added new stadium lights, and a new girl’s softball park. Currently the historical Ralls Inn is being renovated to become a bed and breakfast. The building has opened real-estate for residential apartments and a few new businesses such as Sandra’s Gift Store & Beauty Shop and Focus on Fitness Heath Club.   Ron Roberts featured the hotel on a recent KMAC news 28 special. The news featured the banquet hall where Laurence Welk once played.  Ron has also put in a sky camera for his weather lab in the center of town.  As a proactive approach to severe weather; the city council applied for a community storm shelter grant through FEMA to house 25% of the population.
